TORRES VOTED FANS STAR MAN V DERBY

Fernando Torres was voted Liverpool's star performer during the 6-0 win over Derby County by the Reds fans who took part in an exclusive vote on this website.



The Reds record signing also took the Liverpoolfc.tv Man of the Match vote.

After each game we ask you to pick the Reds' top three players - and we'll pick ours too.

The winner of each poll then gets three points, the runner-up gets two and the third best player gets one. At the end of the season the points are totted up to reveal our star performer.

1. Fernando Torres. Has given the Liverpool attack a new dimension this season. Torres has been quite outstanding and his movement causes opposition defences no end of problems.

2. Javier Mascherano. An awesome performance from the Argentine ace. He and Xabi Alonso dictated the play and Mascherano is already a Liverpool legend.

3. Jermaine Pennant and Alvaro Arbeloa.

Pennant was in sensational form on the wing and caused the Derby defence so many problems, especially in the first half on the left wing. Arbeloa had an outstanding match at left back and showed what a really good player he is against Derby.
