Steven Gerrard will come up against Anfield teammate Yossi Benayoun when England host Israel in a vital Euro 2008 qualifier at Wembley on Saturday evening.


Peter Crouch is suspended for the match but Gerrard and on-loan goalkeeper Scott Carson are in Steve McClaren's squad. Gerrard has been battling to overcome a broken toe but McClaren has confirmed his star midfielder will be in his team for the Wembley clash.

Other Reds on international duty this weekend include Dirk Kuyt and Ryan Babel as Holland host Bulgaria. Andriy Voronin will lead the line for Ukraine in Georgia while Sami Hyypia is in Serbia with Finland.

Danile Agger is in Sweden with Denmark in the battle of Scandinavia while John Arne Riise is on duty for Norway in Moldova.

Meanwhile Reds trio Fernando Torres, Xabi Alonso and Pepe Reina are in Iceland with Spain.
